The Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at the University of Maryland College Park is leading the way in the creation of a consortium of technology transfer offices in Maryland. Called the Maryland Technology Transfer Offices Partnership, or MDTTO, the new consortium aims to increase collaboration between offices.

MDTTO was created by OTC Executive Director Jim Poulos as a response to the recent negative publicity which has surrounded technology transfer in Maryland.

"Maryland technology transfer offices are doing a great job of commercializing some of the most innovative technologies in the nation," Poulos said. "We need to do a better job of working together to make sure that people know about it."

Poulos has proposed new advertising and marketing initiatives to disseminate information about the many successes which Maryland technology transfer offices have achieved. Among the initiatives is the publishing of this newsletter.
