The University of Maryland Office of Technology Commercialization
Names 2005 Inventions of the Year

Harin Kanani accepts the 2005 Information Science Invention of the Year award from University of Maryland Division of research Vice President Dr. Jacques Gansler and OTC Executive Director James A. Poulos III.
Kanani and Maria I. Klapa won for the technology, Data Normalization Strategy for Metabalomic Profiling Analysis.

Dr. John Fisher, Parth Modi and Jennifer Lynn Moreau accept the 2005 Life Science Invention of the Year award from University of Maryland Division of research Vice President Dr. Jacques Gansler (third from left) and OTC Executive Director James A. Poulos III (fourth from left).
Fisher, Modi, Moreau and Sachiko Kaihara won for the technology Novel Degradable Biomaterials.

Shenghu Zhou and Dr. Bryan Eichhorn accept the 2005 Physical Science Invention of the Year award from University of Maryland Division of research Vice President Dr. Jacques Gansler (second from left) and OTC Executive Director James A. Poulos III (third from left).

Steve Fritz, director of technology transfer for the Maryland Technology Development Corp. (TEDCO), and OTC Executive Director James A. Poulos III announce the Award for Entrepreneurship. NetImmune, Inc., a Maryland start-up company established with technology developed by University of Maryland inventors, was honored.
