The University of Maryland, College Park campus may be reached by car, subway (Metro) or bus. For your convenience, a map of the campus is also available online here. By car, from Baltimore and points north:

Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway (I-495). At split, take I-495 West (Exit 27) to Silver Spring/Bethesda and stay in the center right lane to take immediate left exit to College Park, US Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue). Follow signs and stay right to US Route 1 South, Baltimore Ave. (Exit 25B).

Continue on US Route 1 South for more than two miles, taking a right onto Campus Drive at the main entrance to the campus, located across US Route 1 from Paint Branch Parkway. Proceed up a slight hill on Campus Drive, taking the second path off a small rotary straight up Campus Drive. After passing the Adele Stamp Student Union on the right, take a right onto Union Lane, which passes alongside the Cole Student Activities Building. Parking is available in the Union Lane Garage (information available here).

By car, from Montgomery County, Northern Virginia and points west

Take I-66 East or I-270 South to Capital Beltway (I-495). Go East on I-495 to Baltimore/Silver Spring. Take Exit 28B, New Hampshire Avenue (MD Route 650). Proceed South on New Hampshire Avenue to Adelphi Road (two traffic lights). Turn left on Adelphi Road. Proceed south on Adelphi Road through intersection with University Blvd. (MD Route 193). Turn left at next light on Campus Drive.

Proceed down Campus Drive past a series of "Lot 1" student parking lots. You will reach a small rotary. Take the second path off the rotary, remaining on Campus Drive until you reach a stop sign. Take a left at the stop sign onto Chapel Drive. Follow Chapel Drive past several university building until you see the Cole Student Activities Center, which will appear on your left. Take your first left after Cole onto Union Lane. Parking is available in the Union Lane Garage (information available here).

By car, from Annapolis and points east

Take Rt. 50 West to Capital Beltway (I-495). Go North/West on I-495 to Exit 25 US Route 1. Turn left at light on US Route 1 South to College Park. Continue on US Route 1 for more than two miles, taking a right onto Campus Drive at the main entrance to the campus, located across US Route 1 from Paint Branch Parkway.

By car, from Washington, D.C.

Take Rhode Island Avenue (US Route 1) north to College Park. US Route 1 will become Baltimore Avenue once you reach the state of Maryland. Follow it for about five miles, driving through the center of College Park. Proceed past several gates for the campus until you reach the main gate, located at a traffic light and intersection with Campus Drive on the left and Paint Branch Parkway on the right. Take the left through the main gate of the campus up Campus Drive.

Proceed up a slight hill on Campus Drive, taking the second path off a small rotary straight up Campus Drive. After passing the Adele Stamp Student Union on the right, take a right onto Union Lane, which passes alongside the Cole Student Activities Building. By car, from Springfield, Va., and points south

Take I-495/I-95 North to Exit 25 US Route 1 South, Baltimore Ave. Continue on US Route 1 South for more than two miles until you reach the main entrance to campus, at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue, Campus Drive and Paint Branch Parkway. Turn right through the main gate of the campus, onto Campus Drive.

Proceed up a slight hill on Campus Drive, taking the second path off a small rotary straight up Campus Drive. After passing the Adele Stamp Student Union on the right, take a right onto Union Lane, which passes alongside the Cole Student Activities Building.
